PORTL is a proof-of-concept iOS application that creates a social media experience around live events. Users have their own profile and can connect and interact with other users while also searching for live events across the country. Users can buy tickets and share their experiences to their page and across the platform. It’s like Facebook and Instagram all rolled into one, but geared toward live concert experiences.

Leveraging an existing UI, I worked with a lean team of a product owner, a project manager, and a developer to iterate on the application and continue to add features - bringing more and more value to the application in an effort to attract new investors. Being that PORTL is a social media platform that is specific to live experiences, an obvious need was for users to be able to capture or upload those experiences directly in the application and share them to the world. That included harnessing iOS camera and video functionality, and developing an experience iOS users are familiar with while still adhering to the established UI kit. That included thorough product research, new camera/video/gallery patterns, and new icons.
